How to Make Money with Amazon

1. Become an Individual Seller

Amazon Individual Seller Account Plans

If you have products to sell, you can become an individual seller. This is one of the easiest ways to start making money on Amazon.

Amazon offers two plan options for individual sellers: Professional and Individual

Becoming an Individual seller is ideal for those who are:

    • just getting started with selling on Amazon
    • want to list a few items for sale each month (less than 40)
    • don’t plan to advertise
    • don’t need advance selling tools

Sellers are charged a $0.99 fee for each item when it sells, plus additional fees that vary based on item type and amount.

Individual sellers have access to Fulfillment by Amazon. This allows sellers to ship their items to an Amazon Fulfillment Center. The fulfillment center then packs and ships the items to buyers for a fee.

Individual Seller Requirements:

    • Your contact information, including address, phone number and email
    • A bank account number and routing number for payments

This plan includes advertising options and access to Fulfillment by Amazon.

Professional sellers are charged $39.99 per month for their storefront, but are not charged the $0.99 per item selling fee that Individual sellers are.

Like Individual sellers, Professional sellers are charged additional selling fees that vary based on the item type and amount.
